
No fewer than 9,384 people in Jada local government area of Adamawa state, the home town of former vice president ,Atiku Abubakar and PDP presidential candidate, has benefited from free medical services which bring the beneficiaries of this gesture across Adamawa south in the last 3 and half years to 80,000 people.
This was disclosed Sunday in Jada by Dr. Dah Talemoh, the lead consultant of Sen.Binos Yroe free medical outreach at the closing ceremony of the 5 -0day free medical services held in Jada.
It was sponsored by the Senator and supported by the eldest son of the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar, who is also Adamawa state Commissioner for Works and Energy Development.
Shedding more light on the exercise, Dr.Talemoh said 60 volunteers from various parts of the country and 120 volunteers across Adamawa state have participated in the exercise which he said has recorded large turnout of people and no death casualty recorded throughout the exercise.
the 5-day exercise with 2,380 patients undergoing various laboratory examinations. He added that eyes problems have been identified to constitute one third of the cases.
Giving the breakdown of the cases, Dr.Talemoh noted that 305 cataract surgeries has been performed,502 family planning issue have been attended to, 458 dental cases treated among other ailments.
