The Osun State Government has commenced polio vaccination across all the Local Government Areas in the state.
The Commissioner for Health in the state, Dr Rafiu Isamotu told Daily Trust that the state government was committed to elimination of polio.
The State Health Promotion officer, Mrs. Taiwo Adeniji, charged all women to allow their children to be vaccinated.
Adeniji said the drive is a response to the unprecedented polio outbreak, recently identified in some States.
She lauded World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Children Emergency Fund, (UNICEF) and National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) for their support.
She added that children under 5 years in the state would to take the polio to protect them from the disease.
She appealed to people in books and crannies of the state to take advantage
